I've always wanted to do Crayon art. So I tried it with my friend. It was really easy, pretty cheap, but it didn't come out as good as I thought, I think I actually tried too hard.

For this craft, you will need crayons, a board/thick posterboard, or something to put the crayons on, glue or some adhesive (I used modge podge) and a blow dryer. How every many crayons you want to use depends on how big you want your craft. I cut a thick posterboard in half and put my crayons together (touching) and then melted, but some people do designs or space them out! Some people cut the crayons in half.

Here is my Crayon art:

Here is my friends:

The difference between ours is that she used the Dollar Store brand crayons (which I think looks cooler) and I used Crayola. Hers melted and splattered A LOT more than mine. Mine was more of a dripping looking effect at first but I kept melting the crayons and it actually just pushed all the colors together. Also, if you space them out, you get more of a drip effect.

Instructions:
  1. Glue or modge podge, (whatever you're using) your crayons onto the board in your design or in a line, or whatever you're doing.
  2. Start melting your crayons. Use the blow dryer on high heat. Try to spread the heat out, don't just stay in one place with the heat. The more you heat it up, the more it will all come together. The less heat you use, the more of a drip effect you will get.
This is a really EASY thing to do and I think most kids would like it! Be careful though, I didn't expect it to splatter, and it splattered ALL OVER my cream colored walls! I had to scrub for at least an hour trying to get the crayon off.

Here are some pictures of pretty cool ones I found online:

Glittered wine glosses, shot glasses, whatever you want glasses. trust me when I say these are SO easy! All you need is the glasses you will use, masking tape, GLOSSY Modge Podge, and FINE glitter. You can make the glass glittery in any way you want. All the way, half way, just the stems, whatever you'd like.

Instructions: Make sure your glass is clean. Place tape on where you want the glitter to end. Brush modge podge on where you want the glitter to be. Roll the glass in the glitter. Set the glass in the sun and wait for it to dry, and then take the tape off. Put another coat of modge podge on and dump some glitter on it again. Be careful and try to leave your line straight, as the tape will be gone. Leave it in the sun to dry, yet again. Finally, put one layer of modge podge on again. (Modge Podge is a water sealant, which is also used for finished puzzles.) It will keep the glitter on the glass and make it waterproof.

Hope yall like these! God Bless, XOXO, Caitlyn.

Wooden DIY Decor Ideas

So if you know me, you know that I am ALL FOR cute wooden furniture and things and I LOVE to do DIY projects. These are super easy AND cheap.
This one uses wooden palette boards. I think this is SUPER CUTE. I've wanted to do it for a while, but never have had the time to. This one is kind of self explanatory. Just find a palette board- Sometimes businesses will give them away, or Lowes, Home Depot, etc places sell them! All you do it break out the middle boards and then put things in there that you like! Really shabby chic. :)

I think this is super cute too! It's a big picture frame but only the frame is used. You use wire to hang the photos with clothespins. You nail nails into the side of the frame (as you can see) and then tie the wire TIGHTLY around the nail multiple times, and use a wire at top (the same way) and hang it on a nail! So cute but yet so simple!

These are SO CUTE. They are coasters for your drinks. It's real wood! Then you paint them and waterproof them. I'm going to give yall the LINK for the "How To's" because I don't want to steal her credit for making this!..... Click here :)

This one is A LOT more difficult, but you can do it! I seriously LOVE the bright colors. This is a mat for outside. Personally, I think the paint would chip off if you rubbed your shoes on it. I would use it for something else, like something cute just to set your shoes on, like in this picture. I will post a link to the DIY for this one :) Click here :)

These are WONDERFUL. I've done them and I loved them! Super easy to do (i'm not very crafty and mine came out well)! All you need is craft adhesive, a candle holder, big scissors/prune cutters, and of course the twigs. The link for HOW TO is right here :)

Hopefully yall enjoyed this post, I LOVE all of these things, and I REALLY love wooden crafts! God Bless, XOXO, Caitlyn.

Living Room Decor!

Hey dolls! I love looking at home decor! Seriously, I could look at the stuff all day every day! I love to look at decor for all rooms, but today I want to talk about living room decor! Here are some of my favorites!

I love that this is neutral colors with a pop of pink! I love pink, and neutral things, so something like this is definitely going in my future house!

I love all of the colors in this room! The coral pink, aqua, and gold go so well together! It also isn't to practical!

This living room looks so classy but fun at the same time! I love the chandelier, and the curtains!

I would definitely put this chandelier in every room in my house. It is so classy, and beautiful! Who wouldn't want it?

This couch and these pillows blend so well together! I love the chevron pillow, and the color of the couch!                                                Xoxo-M and Cait!
