I've always wanted to do Crayon art. So I tried it with my friend. It was really easy, pretty cheap, but it didn't come out as good as I thought, I think I actually tried too hard.

For this craft, you will need crayons, a board/thick posterboard, or something to put the crayons on, glue or some adhesive (I used modge podge) and a blow dryer. How every many crayons you want to use depends on how big you want your craft. I cut a thick posterboard in half and put my crayons together (touching) and then melted, but some people do designs or space them out! Some people cut the crayons in half.

Here is my Crayon art:

Here is my friends:

The difference between ours is that she used the Dollar Store brand crayons (which I think looks cooler) and I used Crayola. Hers melted and splattered A LOT more than mine. Mine was more of a dripping looking effect at first but I kept melting the crayons and it actually just pushed all the colors together. Also, if you space them out, you get more of a drip effect.

Instructions:
  1. Glue or modge podge, (whatever you're using) your crayons onto the board in your design or in a line, or whatever you're doing.
  2. Start melting your crayons. Use the blow dryer on high heat. Try to spread the heat out, don't just stay in one place with the heat. The more you heat it up, the more it will all come together. The less heat you use, the more of a drip effect you will get.
This is a really EASY thing to do and I think most kids would like it! Be careful though, I didn't expect it to splatter, and it splattered ALL OVER my cream colored walls! I had to scrub for at least an hour trying to get the crayon off.

Here are some pictures of pretty cool ones I found online:

Glittered wine glosses, shot glasses, whatever you want glasses. trust me when I say these are SO easy! All you need is the glasses you will use, masking tape, GLOSSY Modge Podge, and FINE glitter. You can make the glass glittery in any way you want. All the way, half way, just the stems, whatever you'd like.

Instructions: Make sure your glass is clean. Place tape on where you want the glitter to end. Brush modge podge on where you want the glitter to be. Roll the glass in the glitter. Set the glass in the sun and wait for it to dry, and then take the tape off. Put another coat of modge podge on and dump some glitter on it again. Be careful and try to leave your line straight, as the tape will be gone. Leave it in the sun to dry, yet again. Finally, put one layer of modge podge on again. (Modge Podge is a water sealant, which is also used for finished puzzles.) It will keep the glitter on the glass and make it waterproof.

Hope yall like these! God Bless, XOXO, Caitlyn.

Wooden DIY Decor Ideas

So if you know me, you know that I am ALL FOR cute wooden furniture and things and I LOVE to do DIY projects. These are super easy AND cheap.
This one uses wooden palette boards. I think this is SUPER CUTE. I've wanted to do it for a while, but never have had the time to. This one is kind of self explanatory. Just find a palette board- Sometimes businesses will give them away, or Lowes, Home Depot, etc places sell them! All you do it break out the middle boards and then put things in there that you like! Really shabby chic. :)

I think this is super cute too! It's a big picture frame but only the frame is used. You use wire to hang the photos with clothespins. You nail nails into the side of the frame (as you can see) and then tie the wire TIGHTLY around the nail multiple times, and use a wire at top (the same way) and hang it on a nail! So cute but yet so simple!

These are SO CUTE. They are coasters for your drinks. It's real wood! Then you paint them and waterproof them. I'm going to give yall the LINK for the "How To's" because I don't want to steal her credit for making this!..... Click here :)

This one is A LOT more difficult, but you can do it! I seriously LOVE the bright colors. This is a mat for outside. Personally, I think the paint would chip off if you rubbed your shoes on it. I would use it for something else, like something cute just to set your shoes on, like in this picture. I will post a link to the DIY for this one :) Click here :)

These are WONDERFUL. I've done them and I loved them! Super easy to do (i'm not very crafty and mine came out well)! All you need is craft adhesive, a candle holder, big scissors/prune cutters, and of course the twigs. The link for HOW TO is right here :)

Hopefully yall enjoyed this post, I LOVE all of these things, and I REALLY love wooden crafts! God Bless, XOXO, Caitlyn.

Living Room Decor!

Hey dolls! I love looking at home decor! Seriously, I could look at the stuff all day every day! I love to look at decor for all rooms, but today I want to talk about living room decor! Here are some of my favorites!

I love that this is neutral colors with a pop of pink! I love pink, and neutral things, so something like this is definitely going in my future house!

I love all of the colors in this room! The coral pink, aqua, and gold go so well together! It also isn't to practical!

This living room looks so classy but fun at the same time! I love the chandelier, and the curtains!

I would definitely put this chandelier in every room in my house. It is so classy, and beautiful! Who wouldn't want it?

This couch and these pillows blend so well together! I love the chevron pillow, and the color of the couch!                                                Xoxo-M and Cait!

Cooler Crushing!

I have a new found love for painting coolers. Yes, that's right, I said COOLERS :) A lot of sorority ladies make them for fraternity men, but anyone can make them! I think they are a super cute gift for a boyfriend who would use a cooler a lot, but you can make them for other folks, or even for girls! I'm going to be posting a few pictures of cute ones and writing out HOW TO. :) All of my photos will be from a Facebook group called "The Cooler Connections".

First: You want to make the cooler very personal. So whoever you're doing it for, make it for things they like. Something perfect would be, if he likes corona beer, paint some coronas on it! If he's in a fraternity use their chapter or pledge class, their seal, crest, or flag. If he attends college, you could put that. Song lyrics, brand names, or even their favorite brand of clothing. And monograms and pearls are a must for girls :) TFM and TSM quotes are PERFECT for Greek Life.

Second: Get all of your things. You want a rather smooth surface because it will be easier to paint on. You can do any type of cooler you'd like. Lighter colors are easier because you can sort of sketch on it. You will also need to plan out what you're going to do, and what colors you will use, and if you'll use anything else. Rhinestones, pearls, jewels, etc.  Then you have to go buy the items. You'll need LOTS of paint brushes, sharpies, pens, stencils, a tarp or cardboard so the paint doesn't get anywhere, tape, anything else you may want, and MODGE PODGE. You can't go without it.

Third: The actual process. Sketch a little on what yours will look like. Then start painting. Paint the sides first, because you will be touching the top as you work. Wait until one side dries to start another, you don't want to smear it. When your paint is finished, you may want to outline some things in sharpies, for smoother lines and more definition. When all of the paint is completely dried, MODGE PODGE! A lot of it. Put one layer on and then let it dry. It make come out white but it will dry clear. Make sure the modge podge is CLEAR, not any other color! You want to put three THICK coats on, but wait for them to dry! (It is to seal out moisture).

Studded Shoes!

Hey ladies! One of my favorite things to shop for is shoes! I have recently became a shoe hoarder, and I am not ashamed of it! Today I want to talk about some of my favorite studded heels that I have found off of Pinterest:

This color blue is so pretty, and the studs down the middle just make the shoes so much prettier!

I love leopard, so of course I am going to want these leopard studded heels! Who woudln't?

I love Louboutin's, so when they have studs on them, they are a must!

Wedges are one of my newest addiction(even though I do not have any yet), and these studded one are just so hot!

All about hair!

This post will be about HAIR :) Hairstyles can make, break, or fix an outfit. I love playing up new looks to see what works with my hair and what doesn't work! P.S... I'm using pinterest photos! :)

I like this because it's so simple! If you have medium or long hair, this will work perfectly and it looks just like summer waves, but it's also very earthy and natural looking!

Bad hair day? This will work. If you don't want to do anything with your hair, or you haven't washed it yet, you should try this! Simple yet really cute.

FISHTAIL BRAIDS! I really love these! Super cute and different! They were hard for me at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's SO easy. Really cute for a casual outfit. Watch this video and you'll learn how to do it. P.S... I love Lauren Conrad! :)

I do this! Definitely try this one! My hair has HORRIBLE split ends, and I have vowed to not ever let it touch a curler or straightener again! Personally I think this looks much better than a curler anyway! But instead of this, I do it before bed and then clip it to my head, and when I wake up I take the twists out and hairspray! Works wonders :)

I'm putting this product up here because it works WONDERS. My hair falls out very badly and a doctor recommended I use BioTin shampoo and conditioner. It's really expensive. But instead, I found this. You can buy it at any store basically. If your hair is falling out, I strongly suggest you try it. Not only has it helped my hair not fall, but my hair has also grown significantly longer! Try this :)
God Bless, xoxo- Cait

Nails!

Hey dolls! I am totally addicted to Pinterest, and one of the main things I pin is nail ideas! I absolutely love trying new designs, and seeing what I can do! If y'all are the same, then you will love this post! I am going to talk about some of the nail design I want to try that I have found! Here are a couple of my favorites:

I am in love with the studs on these nails. I am going to do this some time real soon! The blue, the studs, and the glitter? What can get better than that?

I love the color coral! It makes you look so tan. These nails have all the designs I love! Hearts, glitter, polka dots, and little jewels! How cute!

I am loving the neon trend right now, so these nails are perfect for me! Now all I have to do is get some neon nail polish!

Pink and glitter are my favorite colors. Yes, glitter is a color. I love all the designs for these nails! So adorable!

What do y'all think of all these nails? Love them or hate them? -XOXO-M!

Monogram Items!

If there is one thing us Southern girls love, it is monogramming everything! We both love monogrammed items, so we were wanting to share some of our favorite items with you! These are from Pinterest, and they are going to be like the last post! (3 from M, and 3 from Caitlyn).

Otter Boxs are amazing phone cases, and when they are monogrammed they are way way way cuter than before!

Chevron Pillow and it's monogrammed? What can get better than that? The answer is nothing! This pillow is so cute!

How cute are sun hats? Really cute. How about when you monogram it? It makes it 10x cuter!

Monogrammed DIY cornhole boards! Let's be honest... Southerners LOVE playing cornhole! These are super cute, especially since these were made to be a game at a wedding! Love it! :)

Stemless monogrammed wineglasses! If you love wine, you should definitely buy these! Or if your friend is moving into a new home, it's a GREAT housewarming gift.
Mongrammed Jewelry. Seriously the cutest thing ever. Monogrammed necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and even rings. You can't go wrong with a monogram!

Peplum Trend!

Hey dolls! For our first post we would love to talk about the peplum trend that we are absolutely loving right now! These finds are going to be from Pinterest! The first three are going to be from M, and the last three are going to be from Caitlyn!

I absolutely love this lace peplum dress! Who wouldn't love it?

This peplum skirt is super cute, and you could wear it out for a girls night!

I love the floral print, and when you put it with peplum it is just adorable!

I SUPER love this Peplum! It has such pretty, intricate lace details to make the peplum look sophisticated but not too promiscuous. I love the mint color, it really makes the peplum dress look playful and young. PLUS, mint is a huge trend right now! Love it :)

This peplum is super cute! It has color blocks which are actually very slimming for your body! The dark blue makes everything look smoother on your thighs and bottom, and the ivory really makes your waist look small! A HUGE reason women love peplums..? They hide problem areas and slim your waist!

This is a peplum SHIRT. :) Yes, there are peplum shirts! You can buy this one at Zara. I love the color, so bright and summery! I love the cut! Reminds me of Audrey Hepburn. But instead of doing a skirt that color, I would have leaned more towards a tan or ivory skirt.
